Our roles and Qualifications
All our staff have DBS (CRB) Enhanced Clearance, childcare qualifications, and child protection/safeguarding training, all members of staff have safe food training, all members have paediatric first aid.
Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the sessions, the welfare and education of the children falls on the Manager.
The manager regularly assesses staff with 1 to 1's, and mock Ofsted inspections. Staff regularly assess each other with regular peer observations, this helps our staff to be enthusiatic and the children get the best care and achieve their outcomes.
During sessions, the staff to child ratio is at least 1:8 for the over 3’s and 1:5 for the under 3’s.

Each member of staff undertake regular training to update their skills. The Playgroup is an equal opportunity employer.
We welcome student placements, to help them gain their childcare knowledge. Students are not left alone with the children at any time
